Unclassified No 4: Ophrys cornuta with short side lobes or heldreichii var. scolopaxoides?

ακρωτήριο Ταίναρο, στην Πελοπόννησο, βρέθηκαν οι εικονιζόμενες ορχιδέες (7
φυτά). Ανήκουν στην ομάδα scolopax, και μερικά έχουν
πολύπλοκο σχέδιο θυρεού (βλέπε διαφάνειες Νο 2 και 3). Επίσης έχουν μικρούς
πλαϊνούς λοβούς, όπως η Ophrys
heldreichii αλλά μικρό μήκος χείλους και πέταλα μικρά
και σε απόσταση μεταξύ τους, όπως η
Ophrys cerastes. Η διάκριση είναι δύσκολη δεδομένου ότι η
ποικιλία Ophrys heldreichii var. scolopaxoides έχει
λιγότερο σφαιρικό κεντρικό λοβό από την τυπική Ophrys heldreichii,
μικρό μήκος χείλους (11-14 χιλιοστά) και μικρά πέταλα, συνήθως σε απόσταση
μεταξύ τους. Συμπερασματικά, τα φυτά αυτά πιθανά είναι Ophrys cornuta with short side lobes ή Ophrys heldreichii var. scolopaxoides. ----------------------- The presented orchids (7 plants) were found on Tainaro cape, Peloponnisos, 100m, April 22, 2003. They belong to scolopax group of genus Ophrys and some of them have complex macula design (as you may see in slides No 2 and 3). Also they have short side lobes, a characteristic of Ophrys heldreichii, but small lips and petals which are short and not contiguous at the base (see slide No4), characteristics of Ophrys cerastes. The discrimination is difficult, given that Ophrys heldreichii var. scolopaxoides has a median lobe which is short (11-14mm), less globose than the typical Ophrys heldreichii and small petals, frequently not contiguous at the base. In conclusion, probably, these plants are Ophrys cornuta with short side lobes or Ophrys heldreichii var. scolopaxoides. |
